Black Skull Wedding

Black Skull Wedding

Skulls? Black colour scheme? No flowers? No problem. It was gorgeous not gruesome. The dress was a tightly kept secret as everybody who knows the bride expected her to wear black and certainly not a dress with a full skirt, with lace, a train and a huge bow. We did consider incorporating some black in the dress, for the buttons or the bow perhaps but in the end, all white won the day. The bride and groom were the only two with flowers the rest of the floral decoration was all lush mixed green foliage. There were lots of home-made touches throughout including the signs made by the bride (yes, she’s a designer as well as an athlete) wrist bands for place markers and host of Lego personalities. For now, here are  couple from the magazine.… Continue Reading

So we let the dress out and then the baby arrived just… Continue Reading

The year seems to be flying by and just when I should be getting down to creating more pieces for the Evolution collection I get more bridal enquiries. July used to be a quieter time for new bookings and a good time for dress fitting appointments. I think people are trying to set things in… Continue Reading

Fairy brides

Such a lot has been going on recently with my current brides that I haven’t had much chance to design and make new dresses for the Evolution collection. I did manage to put one together for this shoot with Hana Laurie the photographer ( who modelled too) and Amy from Dolly’s Beauty Parlour who also… Continue Reading

End of the show! West End Centre Aldershot

The Fully Fashioned Findings exhibition I have been working on this month is drawing to a close. I’ll be going over today to finish assembling the ‘grooms’ outfit. The machine will be dismantled tonight and then Friday evening the frocks will be taken back to the studio. It’s all been great fun and very artistic!… Continue Reading

Easter Chickens!

Just in time for Easter eggs. Yes it was really an Autumn photo shoot but the chickens nearly stole the show. In keeping with our eco-friendly ethos, these girls are recycled . Once bedraggled  and bald battery hens, they are now living the outdoor life in Hampshire. I’ll be putting up more pictures from the… Continue Reading
