Weddings in lockdown

Well it has been busy in the studio, with final fittings for two brides ( actually I did the final fittings for one bride at her home) who have just got married and new brides to be coming in to choose their gowns. Fortunately the studio is in old building that doesn’t get too toasty in summer. Very different weather for the first of my lock down brides – torrential rain. She was super pleased with the preview pictures that came back from Finn and the Fox Photography. Here is a sneaky peak. The bride will be wearing the dress again next year for a full on bash at the very lovely and laid back Kingsettle Stud.

New opening times!

It will be challenge to reopen the studio and to give customers the best experience I can when choosing their dress. At the moment I will be limiting appointments to only two per week. It will mean a different way of doing things but it will work and I’m really excited to be seeing customers… Continue Reading

Even if weddings are postponed it… Continue Reading

I’m very pleased to be back exhibiting at The Wonderous Wedding Fair at the Pyramids in Portsmouth on Sunday 27th October. I haven’t done a fair for quite a while now but this one is always fun and it will be good to catch up with the other suppliers as well as meeting new brides… Continue Reading

Blush pink for the blushing bride…

Blush pink for the blushing bride…

Another beautiful Real Green Dress bride. The very lovely and talented Laura who made several trips down from London for alterations. I changed the sleeves, altered the neckline, actually made the skirt a little less full and with the excess fabric, swapped the zip for those beautiful buttons and loops down the back. And who… Continue Reading

Ethical wedding dresses

It’s always nice to be asked to write articles for magazines. Interesting that recently it tends to be about being ethical and eco-friendly which of course Real Green Dress always has been. This piece is just out in Your Hamshire and Dorset Wedding ( issue 75) and I have another piece on the go for… Continue Reading
